Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil Review

I have bought a couple of moisturizing, exfoliating and nourishing products for my skin recently, both of which I have decided to review. The first product is this beauty oil by Garnier...

Honestly, I may never touch a body butter again in my life. This is only the second body oil that I have ever used but it is enough to make me steer clear from body butters- which can often be sticky and take a while to dry.

Not only does this moisturize your skin but it also nourishes and helps it stay moisturized (if you don't use it for a couple of days), thanks to all of the different oils it contains (argan, macadamia, almond and rose, according to the bottle)

I have been spraying this onto my legs and arms after I shower for a while now and it has definitely hugely improved the condition of my skin. The bottle does not lie- it does illuminate my skin a little, nourishes it and also makes if softer.

I rub a few sprays on each of my arms and legs which is super quick and takes much less time than applying body butter or solid oils. You could easily find the time to apply this after every shower and not have less time than you would have- or even less if you substitute your body butter for this.

The only negative thing I have to say about this product would be that it does tend to go everywhere and my bathroom floor has been quite slippery since I started using it, although to me this isn't a massive problem.

I will be back with another review and some fashion posts soon!

Harlequin Inspired Nails

This weekend's nails were harlequin inspired with the triangles and coloured spots.

First I painted my nails white then used nails stickers (from a nail set) to mark off the triangle once the white polish was dry- you could sellotape instead.

Then I painted the triangle in with black polish ( I used Miss Sporty, £1.97) and added the green and pink dots.

I also used Miss Sporty's white polish that has a special brush for painting the tips of nails and is also good for fine detail, to touch up any areas where the black wasn't even.

I then finished with a topcoat.

I will be back very soon with a couple of reviews and outfit posts

Weekend Nails- Lilac Shimmer and Glitter

For this weekends nails I did lilac nails with a glitter topcoat. I really liked how the lilac and the pinks, greens and blues in the glitter polish went together. For me the glitter made this polish more wearable in such cold weather!

Excuse the poor and uneven state of my nails, I really need to sort then out!

MUA one coat polishes in 'purple mist' from the fairy dust nails collection, £1
I will try and do a product review on these soon.

Then I used this limited edition Barry M glitter nail polish as a topcoat. It was a special in Superdrug for Christmas called 'Superdrug Xmas'.

I plan to do a review of a new body oil from Garnier later this week which I am currently really liking so look forward to that!

Black skater, Blue Crop, Neon Accessories: OOTD

This outfit has been inspired by two of my favourite trends for spring/summer 2013- preppy sporty trend, more specifically bold block colours, and neon accessories.

I would just add some more layers to make this outfit a bit warmer or remove the tights and wear 'lighter' shoes to make it better for warmer weather (if we ever get some!)

Cropped Blue Top: £10, Topshop
Skater Skirt: Christmas Gift from a small boutique in Cornwall
Boots: £25, H&M

Top Bracelet: £1.50 (original price was £10.50!), Topshop sale (there were still a few left in my Topshop when I looked yesterday so you might be able to snap one up!)
Bottom Bracelet: £15, small jewellery boutique in Cornwall

Nails from my last post, 'Je t'aime': £1.50, H&M

Earrings: Also £1.50 in the Topshop sale (£12.50 original price!)

As for make-up I just did a simple eyeliner flick and pale bronze eye-shadow then I was wearing a tinted red lipbalm although it rubbed off before I could take these shots.

I will be back very soon for my nails of the weekend!
Have a great Monday tomorrow

Shimmery Red Nails

On my nails this weekend I just had a simple shimmery red from H&M. I really do like their polishes, they last long enough and the colours are great- especially for the super cheap prices!

Here they are...

Do excuse the slightly worn edges, I took these picutres a couple of days after applying the polish- although, as you can see it has lasted fairly well as I didn't use topcoat. This was only two coats of H&M's 'JE'TAIME' nail polish which I believe I only paid a mere £1 for!

It really is a lovely colour with gold shimmers running through and matches the name so well (which means 'I Love You' in French)

Just a quick one for now, however it is my birthday tomorrow (whoop, whoop!) so hopefully I will post a bit a about that and some more fashion/outfits soon!

January Favourites!

Thought I'd do a my first monthly favourites as there have been quite a few things that I've been loving this month! I have just chosen a small selection of the products and pieces that I've been using or wearing most...

All of my January favourites together!

First up are my two Lush shampoos which I have had since mid December. One of my first posts was a review of 'BIG', which I absolutely love. I have been mixing it up with 'I LOVE JUICY' so that my hair doesn't get to used to one- it's is also proving to be a great shampoo! They give my hair volume and stop it from going limp and static throughout the day.You can also clearly see the difference between the natural Lush shampoos and other 'drugstore' shampoos which contain more chemicals and artificial ingredients. I would strongly recommend both of these shampoos!

You can find 'BIG' here and 'I LOVE JUICY' here, on the Lush website

Secondly, my favourite nail varnishes this month have been these two by Louise Gray for Topshop. The formula is great, they apply well and stay on. I also got them on sale for £3 each (reduced from £6). I would love to get some more Topshop nail products but am not sure if it is worth the full price!

Next up is my L'Oreal Super Liner which I have been wearing non stop since I got it back in late December. It is so versatile and easy to apply- there are so many different eyeliner styles that you can create with it.

You can get it online here or at your local Boots/Superdrug.

I have been wearing the earrings from this three-pack from H&M loads since I bought them mid January. They go with so many outfits and really dress them up.

Buy them for £4.99 at H&M.

This month I have really gotten into hair cuffs! They can make a boring ponytail more exciting and make it look a little neater if you're in a rush. The top left one was £1 from Primark, the other two were £2.99 from H&M. I much prefer the ones from H&M as they spring open so are easier to put on whereas with the Primark one it is difficult to get it on at the right angle. The metal on them is also much thicker.

Topshop printed jeans are next on my list! I have bought these two pairs in the past month in the sale and have already gotten loads of wear out of them. They are so comfy and I'm so happy with the fit. It is rare for me to find skinny jeans that fit me as I'm quite curvy so am always on the hunt for some.

My first pair were these paisley ones that I snatched up for £10 (!) in the sales. I love the print so much and they were such a steal!

My second pair were these J.W Anderson ones which were also a complete bargain in the sales for £15! I also think the print on these is pretty amazing!

Lastly I have included these stunning gold creepers from New Look which were yet another sale bargain for £10! They surprisingly, go with a lot of outfits and are so comfy to wear. The gold is not too bright so they are easier to style than you may think but they are still definitely a stand-out shoe!

Hope you enjoyed this post, I have lots of posts planned for the coming month which I am very much looking forward to posting!
Until then, have a great Sunday,
