Soap and Glory Sugar Scrub Review

A couple of weeks ago I posted a review for my new Garnier Body Oil, the first of two body-skin products I bought recently and am reviewing.
I have wanted a sugar scrub for a while, particularly this one. I have read so many good reviews of this product, particularly saying how good the smell is!

First up is the packaging. I really think it's great, you get a lot in one tub and, as with all Soap and Glory packaging, it looks great. I also love how the pot is clear so you can see the actual scrub inside.

The ingredients sound pretty good to eat actually, and the scrub does indeed smell amazing! It's fresh but 'welcoming' at the same time. Honestly, I would wear this as a scent all day, I really hope they bring this out as a body splash! Soap and Glory really do do their scents well!

I haven't noticed an incredible change in my skin since I started using the scrub, although I have only used it once to twice a week whilst you are supposed to use it two to three. The smell, however, is lovely and my skin does feel softer straight after. My skin has also stopped getting dry as it was before I started using the body oil and scrub, although I think that's more down to the oil rather than the scrub. I have, however been noticing that less growing hairs get 'trapped' under my skin.

The grains of the scrub are just the right size, in my opinion. Big enough to feel as if they are doing their job and small enough to not feel rough on my skin.

Overall I really love this scrub and will be re-purchasing, I am sure!

Have a great Friday,

Weekend Nails, Model's Own, Beetlejuice

Here are two weeks worth of weekend nails, both one of my new Model's Own Beetlejuice polishes...

First up is 'Copper Pot' from last weekend.

It worked just fine with two coats and came out very evenly. Like all of the colours in this range I'm sure I'll be wearing this loads during spring/summer, as a topcoat as well as on its own.

Copper pot is available in Boots and Boots online for £5

Next is 'Indian Ocean'. The beetlejuice set of polishes originally caught my eye because of this incredibly pretty polish shade, a shimmery sky blue with violet undertones. This is a little more opaque than the others- I have used three coats here and still was not satisfied with the coverage. Next time I will apply a coat of white polish first, although, that being said it will be great for using as a topcoat!

Indian Ocean is also available at Boots and Boots online for £5.

Both polishes are available for £5 on the model's own site too or you can buy the set of six for £20, like i did. You end up getting two free polishes so the set is great value for money!

My next post will hopefully be up within the next three days, which I'm planning on making a review.
Until then,

Weekend Nails- Purple Blue Shimmer

One of my birthday presents was the Model's Own Beetle Juice nail polish box set which I  have wanted for ages! It contains six of their most popular beetle juice style nail polishes which are a range of stunning jewel shades with a multi tonal effect, inspired by beetles...

I was expecting the quality of these polishes to be pretty good, considering that they cost £5 a bottle (£20 for the set of six). I did quite like consistency of the polish, however, found them a little thin- two shades would have been enough for me although I think that three would have been better. This does, though, make them very good for layering!

For this weekend's nails I applied two coats of 'Purple Blue'...

...and then a coat of 'Indian Ocean'.

You can buy the polishes at larger boots stores, boots on-line or on the model's own website.

I will be trying out more combinations soon, I'm sure!

I will be back soon with a product review,

February Monthly Favourites!

Seriously, where did February go!? I an't believe I'm already doing my monthly favourites again!
There weren't as many items this month, I am still loving many items that featured in my January favourites so go and check that out for some (still) amazing products. Anyway, moving on to this months' favourites...

 All My Favourites Together

Firstly, high waisted light wash Topshop Joni jeans. Wow, these jeans are amazing! I seem to have developed a real soft spot for Topshop jeans, after having two pairs of their printed jeans in my January favourites! All their jeans are so flattering and comfy, I can't see myself buying jeans from anywhere else any time soon!

For me, these Joni jeans really do stand out though. They are super, super comfy, so flattering and such a nice colour. Another thing i noticed when I was shopping for them was that all of the washes were slightly different which I liked as it makes them look more authentic. For this reason, though, I wouldn't recommend buying them online, also as jeans are so varying when it comes to sizing and really need to be tried on. They also come in petite and tall so they are bound to have a pair to fit everyone!

I did a review of this a couple of posts ago, so go and check it out for more info, it really is a great product!

I really love the formula and colour of this polish. I have wanted a really dark red for ages so this almost black colour is perfect! Although £4.99 is more than I would usually spend on polish, especially for such a small bottle, I think I may be buying more in the future!

Chunky chains!
Gold chain, £7.99, H&M
Rose gold chain, £7.99, H&M
Violet Chain, £1.50, Topshop sale
(none are online, although they may still be in stores, especially the H&M ones)

I have been wearing my chunky chains a lot recently and find that they add a lot to an outfit. You can buy many, many variations of a chunky gold chain in lots of high street shops at the moment, do go and find your perfect gold chain they really are so versatile! I also love the other two for being a little different!

Stud, stud Earrings, Widely available in high street stores, try H&M for a range of fairly cheap ones.

By 'stud, stud earrings' i mean stud earrings that look like actual studs. They are a great accessory, especially  if you have multiple ear piercings- I have been wearing them in my second lobe piercing when I am wearing statement earrings in my first holes or both when I'm not!

Studs have been so in fashion recently (really now?) so these are another great way of wearing them.

I have been wanting a cropped tee that I can actually wear for a while now, and by that I mean one that isn't TOO cropped or tight (the kind of thing you'll only catch me in at the beach!). These do the job perfectly, they hang well, are not too short and are comfy. They also go really well with my Joni jeans and high waisted skirts as well as shorts for the summer. They are also fairly priced, especially for Topshop, at £10.

I featured the blue one in my most recent OOTD with a black skater skirt and also have one I put on a mannequin to show the shape.

I really hope you enjoyed my February favourites, I will be back soon with my nails of the weekend and another product review!
